Clinical Core

Director

The ADRC Clinical Core provides the clinical operations of the ADRC, as well as supporting the other ADRC cores and the general research endeavors of the ADRC. The Clinical Core serves as the primary vehicle for participant entry into the ADRC’s longitudinal observational study, providing clinical assessments, neuropsychological testing, phlebotomy, neuroimaging, and research-only lumbar punctures, which are harmonized with the research procedures of other ADRCs, and often in conjunction with other cognitive aging studies at CUIMC.

The Clinical Core is also responsible for the ADRC Brain Donation Program, which operates in close collaboration with the Neuropathology Core. The Clinical Core also engages in supporting and advising on research being pursued by investigators both within the institution and beyond.
