About Our Research
Research in the Department of Neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is dedicated to determining why and how disorders of the nervous system occur, and using this knowledge to improve prevention, diagnosis, management, and treatment of our patients. To achieve these critical goals, the Department of Neurology has deployed a multidisciplinary approach from bench-to-bed side spearheaded by a team of more than 100 brilliant clinical and basic science researchers, with expertise in a broad range of disciplines, including:
