NEUROLINKS – NEurology United: Regional, GlObal, and Local Impact NetworKS
The Department of Neurology in the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center (NYP/CUIMC) has a long tradition of fostering a welcoming, supportive workplace while advancing access to high-quality neurological care. We are committed to understanding and addressing healthcare barriers—locally and globally—through thoughtful clinical, research, and educational initiatives.
To coordinate and expand these efforts, the Department established NEUROLINKS — NEurology United: Regional, GlObal, and Local Impact NetworKS — led by Professor Carolyn B. Britton, MD, with support from a NEUROLINKS Committee. Guided by the Department of Neurology’s mission, the program strengthens community, fosters belonging, expands access, and provides support across patient care, education, and research. It builds on the department’s extensive local, national, and global collaborations to connect and amplify this work.
Through NEUROLINKS, the Department supports programs and initiatives that strengthen our academic community and promote the recruitment and retention of faculty, fellows, residents, staff, and other members of our department from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
In parallel, NEUROLINKS helps advance clinical, educational, and research initiatives that expand access to neurological care in local, national, and global communities, including the Washington Heights–Hamilton Heights–Inwood neighborhoods of Northern Manhattan.
