
Overview
Susan Kreiner, ACNP, is a Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where she serves as the Lead Nurse Practitioner for a specialized neurohospitalist service.
She has more than 20 years of nursing experience, with a primary focus on neurocritical care, and joined the neurology team at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in 2011. Her clinical interests include the care of hospitalized patients with acute neurological conditions, including stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injury, and brain tumors, as well as the management of treatment or disease-related complications. She has a strong interest in neuro palliative care and is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with serious neurological illness.
In addition to her clinical practice, Susan serves as a mentor to nursing students and as a preceptor for acute care nurse practitioner students from the Rory Meyers College of Nursing at New York University.
