Dr. Shital Patel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology, Division of Critical Care and Hospitalist Neurology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She graduated with her medical degree from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. She completed her internship in internal medicine and residency in adult neurology at Virginia Commonwealth School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in vascular neurology at Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. As a neurohospitalist, Dr. Patel specializes in the treatment and management of a wide range of acute neurological disorders and emergencies in the inpatient setting with a subspecialty focus on vascular neurology and acute care management of stroke.
