Jennifer Bain, MD, PhD, Receives Martha A. Hooven Community Partnership Award
Child Neurologist Dr. Jennifer Bain, associate professor of neurology and pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, received the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (VP&S) Community Partnership Award in recognition of her leadership in advancing autism care as co-founder of the NYP Autism Task Force, as well as her rare disease advocacy with the Yellow Brick Road Project focused on HNRNPH2-related neurodevelopmental disorder.
The annual VP&S Martha A. Hooven Awards for Excellence ceremony honors individuals who meaningfully enrich the medical school’s workplace and community. “These awardees embody professionalism, generosity, and genuine dedication to others. They are leaders and collaborators who exceed expectations and take on responsibilities that extend beyond their formal roles,” said Katrina Armstrong, MD, dean of VP&S. “And they bring a sense of purpose and hope to what we do, which is essential for those who work in science and medicine.”
Dr. Bain was selected from more than 100 nominations, and the faculty and staff of the Department of Neurology extend our congratulations on this well-deserved recognition.
