Dr. Giuseppe Tosto is an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Gertrude H. Sergievsky Center and the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain. As a genetic epidemiologist, his primary research focuses on populations with admixed ancestry, where he leads several NIH-funded projects recruiting large cohorts across North, Central, and South America. Additional research programs investigate Alzheimer’s disease heterogeneity, leveraging disease endophenotypes—including biomarkers, neuroimaging, and neuropsychological predictors—to advance understanding of the aging brain.
Dr. Tosto earned his MD, completed his residency training in Neurology, and received his PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Italy.
