Overview
Dr. Bunevicius received his MD from Kaunas University of Medicine located in Kaunas, Lithuania, in 2008. He then obtained his PhD from the Department of Medical Psychology and Neuropsychology / Center of Research on Psychology in Somatic diseases (CoRPS) from Tilburg University in 2012.
Dr. Bunevicius has received comprehensive and internationally diverse training through a series of prestigious residencies and fellowships. He completed a 9-year residency at Lithuania University of Health Science, Department of Neurosurgery. He completed a 4-year residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Department of Neurology. He completed a 2-year postdoctoral research fellowship in neuroimaging at University of North Carolina at Chappel Hill. He completed a 2-year clinical fellowship in radiosurgery at the University of Virginia. He completed a 2-year clinical fellowship in radiosurgery at Bringham and Women’s Hospital and Havard University, Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Bunevicius is an active member of American Academy of Neurology. His professional interests focus on research, mentorship/teaching, and quality patient care.
