Ten Neurology Faculty and Staff Recognized with 2026 CUIMC Luminary Awards
Congratulations to the 10 members of the Department of Neurology recognized at the 2026 CUIMC Luminary Employees Recognition Celebration on May 5: Dr. Alyssa Bautista, Sajina GC, Susan Kreiner, Joyce Ann Moran, Kerri Natkiel, Dr. Alison Pack, Dr. Hiral Shah, Emerald Shaw, Sandy Song, and Dr. Robert Wechsler-Reya.
The annual Luminary Awards recognize faculty and staff whose leadership, mentorship, collaboration, and commitment to education help strengthen the CUIMC community. This year’s celebration honored 186 individuals and four teams from across Columbia University Irving Medical Center and the broader Columbia community, following 250 nominations submitted through the Spotlight Your Colleagues Campaign.
The ceremony was followed by a panel discussion on education, mentorship, collaboration, and leadership, co-moderated by Luminary Awardee and Neurology Practice Manager Emerald Shaw and Clara Lapiner, assistant vice president in the Office of Faculty Professional Development and Engagement.
We are proud to see so many members of our department recognized among this year’s awardees and grateful for the many ways they contribute to our shared mission.
We also thank the CUIMC Women Employee Resource Group for organizing this year’s celebration, with co-sponsorship from the CUIMC Office of Well-Being, CUIMC Human Resources, the CUIMC Virginia Kneeland Frantz Society, the CUIMC Office of Faculty Professional Development and Engagement, and the CUIMC EVP Office.
