Neurocritical Care and Hospitalist Neurology are two of the fastest-growing specialties in the field of medicine today. Founded in 1983, the Neurocritical Care Program at NewYork–Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, with an 18-bed Neurological Intensive Care Unit, is one of the oldest and most established in the country. Together with our Hospitalist Neurology services, these two unique programs bring together specially-trained physicians and nurses, state-of-the-art treatment facilities, and advanced monitoring and treatment modalities, all focused on treating life-threatening neurological diseases and emergencies.
Our inpatient neurological program consists of the following services:
- Critical Care Neurology (Neurological Intensive Care Unit)
- Hospitalist Neurology (Graduate, Ward, and Consult Services)
- NewYork-Presbyterian/The Allen Hospital
Our outpatient neurological program consists of the following service:
- NeuroCardiac Comprehensive Care Clinic (N4C)
