Columbia University neurologist Dr. Lawrence Honig, an Alzheimer’s expert, said the findings suggested blood testing could be useful, to a point. In people with symptoms, doctors would not likely treat Alzheimer’s disease simply on the basis of a positive blood test without also testing spinal fluid or ordering a PET scan, he said. [read more]
